For the first time in twenty years, I found myself in Atlanta for the 4th of July. We jumped at the chance to grab a cup of joe and head to Peachtree Battle at Peachtree and join the Haynes Manor families in cheering on those obviously more motivated than myself!

Saturday Morning at the Farmer’s Market

Saturday morning found my wife and I at the St. Philips Farmer’s Market in the Peachtree Heights West neighborhood. A slice of pizza, some black-eyed pea salad, green tomato chutney and fig preserves later, it was a great way to spend the morning.

The food is locally grown by mostly organic farmers. There’s also wonderful bread and local cheeses. It’s well worth a visit.
